AUDIOTISTICCCCCC

Still recovering from a full day of audiotistic shenanigans. Audio was awesome but nothing beats last year's lineup (Bassnectar, A-Trak, Nero, etc..)
Wolfgang Gartner KILLED it at the end when he dropped "Show Me Love" and "Levels"
Not to mention "Space Junk" which was off the heeeeezyyy

I love Jack Beats simply for their remix of La Roux's "I'm not your toy", stoked to see them live.

I have seen Nero live (last year at Audiotistic) and he is INSANE.

DUCK. SAUCE. The name says it all. I'm peeing my pants with excitement from just thinking about seeing them. HOLY SHIT. I've seen A-Trak and Armand Van Helden separately...but together they must be on a whole nother level.

Bring On The Pain

Benny Benassi's new track "Electroman" just released with Ultra Records! Featuring T-Pain, this track shows a lot of potential but I honestly find T-Pain and his voice changer to just be really fucking annoying. Benassi shows his range of music and talent (unlike T-Pain) and although he does a great job, Electroman will never match up to Aoki/Afrojack/Lil Jon's "Turbulence". Putting a famous rapper's voice over an awesome track only gets you so far...

Who's Got the Love?

Florence and the Machine has the voice to stand on her own, but combined with the right electro track, she is unstoppable. Here are two remixes of "You've Got the Love" that you're sure to love.

You've Got Illiad's Heart Behind- Axwell vs Candi Staton vs Swed (Munich House Mafia Bootleg)
This track begins with strong vocals singing "You've Got the Love" with a simple beat and drops into an awesome electro banger and even mixes Swedish House Mafia when the bass drops around 4:00 and breaks into "Leave the World Behind". One of my all time favorites. Download it HERE! :)

Next, we have Mark Knight's remix which you can download HERE. It focuses less on vocals and more on having a strong, consistent beat.

Moombahton Mayhem

Moombahton is quickly growing in popularity because of its slowed down beats and reggae-like style. Its great to listen to when you need something more chill than house or electro but still want some bass. It takes some getting used to at first because all you can think at first is how the beat needs to be sped up but once you can accept it for what it is...its pretty fucking good. The only shitty thing about it is that there aren't too many downloads for it on mediafire and such since its still relatively new but thats where this website comes in handy: www.video2mp3.net

Indie Remixes

Living in a society where being "indie" and "hipster" and "alternative" is now the popular thing...it makes sense to expect dj's to remix their favorite indie bands. Recently I saw Steve Angello do an AMAZING remix of Florence + The Machine's "You've Got the Love" but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. In the mean time...here are some Boys Noize remixes for the hipster inside all of us.

Moombahton

So I am kind of obsessing over Moombahton, this new genre created by Dave Nada in the fall of 2009 in Washington DC. Basically he takes electro songs and slows them down to 108 beats per minute. He first experimented the song "Moombah"- (Afrojack Remix) Silver Ecomo & Chuckie and because the song had a tempo similar to reggaeton, it became its own genre: Moombahton.
Some of the songs are pretty sick because the beats are extended but at times I can't help but wishing it was faster. I love adrenaline pumping quick beats with fat drops but moombahton gives you a chill version of techno that would go perfectly with a nice bowl and close friends.

Crookers is combining with Savage Skulls and coming out with a new album under the name "Dr. Gonzo" and the new tracks are pretty sick, a somewhat different sound from Crooker's older stuff like "knobbers", "my penny", etc (which makes up for the shitty new name of Dr. Gonzo...)

ADELE's "Rolling in the Deep" gained a lot of attention this year not only because of her amazing vocals, but because of the remix potential it has. The Avicii and Voodoo Farm remixes are two of my favorites. Avicii's is much more house/progressive which the Voodoo Farm Remix has a nice dub drop.

Electric Daisy Carnival

Finally its that time of year again to buy EDC tickets. Tix are on sale Saturday, April 23rd at noon PST and are going to be starting around $180 for a three day pass. Relocated to Las Vegas this year..it's going to be hot as fuck.....but it might also be the best EDC ever! (Hopefully no one dies this year) The West Coast's craziest summer rave is sure to have the sickest lineup...can't wait till its out!
Kaskade has confirmed he won't be there...hopefully he'll show up as a surprise?
Spinning the fest’s first evening (June 24) is none other than Dutch DJ Tiësto. Another Vegas regular will follow him, as David Guetta will take the tables on the 25th. And wrapping up the carnival’s first-ever third day are the Swedish House Mafia trio (Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell).
